Mel and Dylan

When we met Mel & Dylan I couldn't help but smile. Mel is bright, beautiful and I LOVE her laugh, while Dylan is kind, steady and knows without a doubt he has found the love of his life. Every emotion imaginable came true on their wedding day with laughter and tears. It was impossible not to become emotionally involved in the events that unfolded. All of this combined with the grandeur & beauty of Banff and the Banff Springs Hotel made for one exciting wedding. Amongst all the hustle & bustle of tourists & guests it's an incredibly peaceful place.

Thank you Connie for your amazing professionalism, the day could not have been as perfect without you. Kirstie & Kevin, WOW, you two are a dream, thank you for your kindness.

Shivonne | Derek

How many opportunities do we get in life to express our most gentle and sincere feelings about those closest to us to all those closest to us?

What a special moment it is, then, to speak of how you feel about the people you love at a wedding.

Emily | Blair

I have had the privilege of getting to know Emily and Blair over the last six months. The connection between these two is indescribable. It goes beyond the surface of what many describe and know to be love. A simple smile, hand gesture or glance between themselves is all they need to understand the deepest commitment they have for each other. I will not forget a note that Blair sent to Emily in the morning of their wedding day at the salon, she held his note knowing he had touched it, and she could feel his words as if he was standing right in front of her. I am amazed as I listen to their vows (this is only a small glimpse), wondering what their future will hold, and can't imagine how strong their connection will deepen as they continue in their journey with one another.

We're excited as we will be involved in a year long "bye bye wedding dress" journey with Emily, that will unite film & photography to communicate the transformation of natural life in a meaningful and creative way that is true to Emily's person.

Love at Spruce Meadows....

I knew the first time I heard Jessica's voice she was a woman who knew what she wanted in life.  Her zest and determination was energizing.  When I  met Jessica & Taylor in person and heard how he proposed ~ all a complete surprise and he had it photographed from afar, it was obvious that Taylor was head over heals for Jessica.  I knew it would be a fabulous journey once their day arrived.  Their ceremony took place at Spruce Meadows in Calgary, followed by an amazing cocktail hour in the skybox, and many heartfelt speeches.  Enjoy a glimspe of their journey..........

Skye + Chris in Invermere British Columbia

*FAQ* style post about Skye + Chris:

Wedding : July 11, 2009

Location:  Invermere, British Columbia, Canada

How did they meet: Skye, the stunning bride is from Calgary, Canada.  While attending University on an exchange program in Australia, she met Chris.  Sadly, it was Skye's final term in University so her time there was brief.

The proposal: The Aussie Chris (who knows a good thing when he sees it) travelled miles back to Canada to visit Skye.  This trip included an engagement ring as well as 50 balloons.  Why the balloons?  Each one was filled with a note to Skye as to why he loved her...  *yes ladies, he's a keeper*

Favorite bride accessory:  Skye's "super chic" veil was found on a manikin (for display only).  A woman with serious style, Skye knew she had to have "that veil".  She was right!  It looked incredible.

? Invermere:  Growing up, Skye spent most of her summers in Invermere at the family Carter cabin... a real gem in the heart of the mountains of BC!

Unexpected sightings:  At the reception which was held at the Fairmont Hot Springs Ski Lodge one of the guests spotted a bear.  It later turned out to be a large, black tree stump.  No one was injured:)

Fab reception detail:  The outdoor dance floor on the patio (It was the perfect ending to the perfect day:)

About their wedding film:  please feel free to comment,  we'd love to hear from you:)

Dani & Trev

If it's true in life you get what you give, then it's fair to say Danielle & Trevor will have a lifetime of abundance. Their ceremony was especially a highlight for us, held on Trevor's parents 4th generation family farm. One could not go without feeling the overwhelming sense of pride, loyalty, history, family, friendship and love for relationships. It was clear Dani & Trev held all of this, plus their love for each other very close to their hearts.
